Psalm 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

so great is his love for those who fear him;

But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Luke 1:77to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,

to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
Forgiveness for the Offender
If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace Colossians 1:14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
